  1. I just happened to hear you on WSB on the way home from Petit Le Mans Saturday night, and I am extremely happy that I tuned it to listen, I don’t usually listen to WSB, but I happened to enjoy the things you had to say. Especially when you described yourself as being an anarcho-capitalist, which is very surprising to hear on WSB, my girlfriend and I looked at each other (did we just hear that on WSB?), LOL. I happen to be an Anarcho-Capitalist, and I study at Mises University at the Ludwig von Mises Institute, so, you can imagine how wonderful it is to hear someone with our ideas on the radio, and I am very happy for you, and I wish you the best on spreading our message.

    • Hi Blake,
Thanks for your encouragement! I’m sure it was a trip to randomly tune in to a card-carrying anarcho-capitalist on mainstream radio! My broadcast schedule is still fluctuating but when I confirm my next show I’ll post it on the website and drop our friends at Mises a line to spread the word. Let’s keep the momentum going!!

    • Blake,
Neal Boortz is on WSB every morning from around 9-1 and he is a libertarian with pretty much same views. I find that the majority of WSB is like-minded that way.

  2. I listened to your just a few minutes tonight, but what I heard was very good. I never heard the term anarcho-capitalist. I just started reading Atlas Shrugged I few days ago, and I might be an anarcho-capitalist pretty soon. I can’t wait to hear more from you,

  3. I am the one who called in about homeschooling my 4 children, 2 of whom have never had any highschool “education” whatsoever but are doing fantastic in college (one is 16, one is 24 because he served 4 yrs in the USMC first). I know so many public school and home school parents who just cannot wrap their head around the idea that you DO NOT NEED “SCHOOL” to succeed in life or go to college. Another of my favorite books besides John Taylor Gatto’s is by Grace Llewellyn called “The Teenage Liberation Handbook,… how to quit school and get a real life and real education”. And that is exactly what our family has always practiced. If you want a REAL education, get OUT OF SCHOOL!!!! Go read, explore, research, investigate, travel, vist new places, ask questions, create, invent, the list goes on. My motto is “less is more” when it comes to “school” because the less you try to DRILL menial facts into a child’s brain and the more you allow the child the freedom to explore a topic of interest at their own pace, in their own way, the more they learn!! Hey, it has worked for 2 of mine so far and they are NOT geniuses. My 16 yr old who goes to classes with students ages 18-24 tells me over and over how these kids are flunking their tests, how they can’t carry on a conversation, how they have no common sense and generally cannot function. And they don’t even have a job. My 16 yr old works full time and my 24 yr old has a family to support!
My younger son was worried at first….was he really capable of taking on college courses at 16 with no high school “education”? He is making As and Bs with EASE as the public highschool graduates are flunking out. And I swear on my soul, this child is of average intelligence!! He is no wiz kid genius!
We also think college degrees are overrated. Although I have one myself, I have never “expected” my children to attend college. It was totally their choice and I would support them either way. Mr. Gatto is my hero and the man is RIGHT on all levels. I know this to be absolute truth.
